Notes: Nobukuni Yoshikane was the son of Nobukuni Yoshitsugu. He worked in Chikuzen province around the Kanbun and Tenwa eras (1661-1681). He is rated Jo-saku by Fujishiro. The Chikuzen Nobukuni school is said to be descended from the Kyo Nobukuni school and its founder is said to be Nobukuni Yoshisada. In 1602 he was summoned by Kuroda Nagamasa and moved from Buzen to Chikuzen Hakata where he continued to prosper under the patronage of the Kuroda family.
